Child Safety Standards
This page applies only to the hummOut app (the activity-discovery app described on this website). Individual hummOut products — such as PanchVeda, hummPrep, and Jaap108 — do not host user-generated social content and are covered by their own separate policies.
Status
The hummOut app is currently under development and is not yet publicly available. This policy is published in advance of launch, describing the standards hummOut will operate under from day one, and will be kept up to date as the app is released.
Zero-tolerance policy
hummOut has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This applies to all content and conduct on the platform, including activity listings, descriptions, profile information, messages, and any other user-generated content. We do not permit hummOut to be used to endanger, exploit, or abuse minors in any way.
Prevention and detection
We take reasonable steps to prevent and detect CSAE on hummOut, including:
- Reviewing activity listings, descriptions, and profile content for policy violations;
- Removing content or accounts associated with CSAE immediately upon detection or report;
- Restricting the platform to users who meet the app's minimum age requirement; and
- Providing a clear, accessible way for any user to report a safety concern.
How to report a concern
If you encounter content or behavior on hummOut that you believe involves CSAM or CSAE, please report it immediately:
- Once the app is live, use the in-app Report option available on user profiles, activities, and messages; or
- Email our designated safety contact directly at rosh4yt@gmail.com with the subject line "hummOut Child Safety Report".
Please include as much detail as you can (such as the user, activity, or content involved) so we can investigate quickly. Reports are treated as urgent and are reviewed as a priority.
Cooperation with authorities
We comply with applicable child safety laws and cooperate with law enforcement and child safety organizations. Where required, confirmed instances of CSAM or CSAE are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to relevant local or national authorities, including under India's Information Technology Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
