Privacy Policy

Panchang, Kundli & Matchmaking

PanchVeda is an independently developed app. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your choices. By using PanchVeda you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information Collected

PanchVeda does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, or any personal profile.

The following information is accessed or stored locally on your device:

Location (optional): If you grant permission, the app reads your GPS coordinates to calculate the Panchang and Kundli for your current location. Coordinates are used only on-device and are never transmitted to any server.
Birth details (optional): Date, time, and city of birth that you enter are stored locally on your device using Flutter shared preferences. This data is never uploaded.
App preferences: Language, theme, ayanamsha choice, compact mode, and saved profiles are stored locally and never leave your device.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

PanchVeda displays ads served by Google AdMob (free version only). AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, subject to your consent choices.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent form before any ads are loaded. You can withdraw or update your consent at any time in Settings → Privacy Policy → Manage privacy options.

To opt out of personalised ads on your Android device: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+) or Opt out of Ads Personalisation (earlier versions).

3. Third-Party SDKs

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — advertising. Governed by Google Privacy Policy.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — consent management for EEA users.
Swiss Ephemeris — all astrological calculations run entirely on-device. No data leaves your phone for calculations.

4. Permissions

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Used only to auto-detect your city for Panchang and Kundli calculations. Location is processed on-device and is never sent to any server.
INTERNET: Required by AdMob to fetch and display ads. Not used for any other network request by the app itself.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except as described in Section 2 (AdMob) above. We have no back-end server; all your data stays on your device.

6. Data Retention

All data (saved profiles, matchmaking records, preferences) is stored exclusively on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

7. Children

PanchVeda is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
