Privacy Policy

PanchVeda is provided by Roshan Kumar, an independent developer operating under the name hummOut (referred to as "hummOut," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the PanchVeda Android application (the "App").

PanchVeda does not require an account and does not operate an application backend that receives your birth profiles, matchmaking details, astrological inputs, or generated reports. Most App data is processed and stored locally on your device. Certain third-party services process limited advertising, technical, consent, and purchase information as described below.

1. Information You Provide or Allow the App to Access

Birth details, names, profiles, and matchmaking information

You may enter names, dates and times of birth, birth locations, gender, and related profile or matchmaking information. This information is used to generate Panchang, Kundli, chart, matchmaking, dosha, muhurta, vrat, and PDF results. It is processed on your device and, when you choose to save it, stored in the App's private local storage. hummOut does not receive this information. All calculations happen on-device using Swiss Ephemeris; no birth data is sent to Astrodienst.

Location

If you grant location permission, the App may access precise or approximate device coordinates to determine your current location for calculations. The App may save the most recently used coordinates, altitude, and timezone locally for convenience and offline fallback. Location used for astrological calculations is not sent to hummOut, Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, or RevenueCat by PanchVeda.

You can decline or revoke location permission through Android settings and use manual location selection where available.

Preferences and local activity

The App stores settings such as language, theme, ayanamsha, chart style, compact mode, notification preferences, daily free-use counters, and paid entitlement cache locally using app-private files or Android shared preferences. Saved matches and profiles also remain local.

PDFs and sharing

PDF reports are generated locally. If you choose to share or save a report, Android and the destination app or service you select will handle that file under their own privacy terms. PanchVeda does not automatically upload PDFs.

2. Local Notifications

PanchVeda may request permission to display locally scheduled Panchang notifications. Notification preferences and schedules are stored on your device. The App may use Android's boot-completed capability to restore local notification schedules after a restart. PanchVeda does not use a hummOut push notification server and does not collect a push-notification token.

You can disable notifications through the App or Android settings.

3. Advertising and Consent

The free experience may display banner and rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob. Depending on your region, consent choices, and device settings, Google may process information such as:

• IP address and general location derived from it;
• advertising identifiers and other device identifiers;
• device, operating-system, app, and ad-interaction information;
• diagnostic, fraud-prevention, and advertising-performance data; and
• consent choices communicated through Google's User Messaging Platform.

Where required, the App presents Google's consent message before requesting ads. You may review or change available consent choices through the App's privacy settings. You can also manage advertising controls through Android and your Google account.

Paid access removes ads while the RevenueCat pro entitlement is active. Third-party services may retain information collected before paid access was activated according to their own policies.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Google Play, and subscription entitlements are managed through RevenueCat. PanchVeda does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

Google Play and RevenueCat may process information necessary to complete and validate purchases, including:

• an anonymous RevenueCat App User ID;
• product, base-plan, transaction, purchase-token, and receipt information;
• purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund, and expiration status;
• entitlement and restoration information; and
• limited app, device, network, IP-address, diagnostic, and fraud-prevention information required to provide their services.

Your names, birth details, saved profiles, matches, charts, and PDFs are not provided to Google Play or RevenueCat by PanchVeda. Their processing is governed by their respective policies: Google Privacy Policy, Google Play Terms, RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

5. Permissions

Depending on your Android version and the features you use, PanchVeda may request or use:

• Precise and approximate location: optional current-location detection for calculations.
• Notifications: display locally scheduled reminders.
• Receive boot completed: restore local notification schedules after device restart.
• Internet access: load advertisements, obtain consent status, retrieve Google Play/RevenueCat offerings and prices, process purchases, restore entitlements, and verify subscription status.

The App does not use internet access to upload your birth profiles, matchmaking data, or generated astrological results to hummOut.

6. How Information Is Used

Information is used only as reasonably necessary to:

• provide calculations, saved profiles, preferences, PDFs, and notifications;
• display and measure ads subject to applicable consent choices;
• offer, process, restore, and verify paid access;
• prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising or purchase activity;
• comply with legal obligations; and
• maintain the security and operation of the App and third-party services.

7. Sharing and Sale of Information

hummOut does not sell or rent your birth details, names, profiles, matches, location history, or astrological results. PanchVeda does not share that local content with advertising or purchase providers.

Limited information is processed by Google AdMob, Google's User Messaging Platform, Google Play, and RevenueCat for the purposes described in this Policy. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or safety, or involved in a lawful transfer of the App's operations, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

8. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Local profiles, matches, settings, locations, counters, and generated data remain on your device until you delete them through available App controls, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. Android cloud backup is disabled for PanchVeda's app data.

Local files are stored in the App's private storage area but are not separately encrypted by PanchVeda. Device-level security, encryption, backups outside the App's control, rooted devices, and any files you intentionally export or share may affect confidentiality.

Google, RevenueCat, and other user-selected services retain information under their own policies and legal obligations.

9. International Processing

Google and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than your own. PanchVeda is operated from India. Users outside India should understand that limited advertising and purchase information may be processed in India, the United States, or other locations used by Google and RevenueCat, subject to applicable law.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or information about certain personal data. You can directly control much of PanchVeda's processing by:

• not saving optional profiles or matches;
• deleting saved data in the App;
• revoking location or notification permission in Android settings;
• changing available advertising privacy choices;
• clearing App storage or uninstalling the App; and
• cancelling subscriptions through Google Play.

11. Age Requirement

PanchVeda is intended only for users aged 18 years or older. It is not directed to children, and hummOut does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from anyone under 18.

12. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App's local-first design, but no device, software, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining reasonable security over your device, Google account, exported files, and device unlock credentials.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, third-party services, law, or our practices. The date at the top will be updated when the Policy changes. Continued use after an updated Policy becomes effective is subject to applicable law.
